Today, A.R.P. together with its 240
associate farmers has a surface area of 10.000 hectares
(3.000 cultivated for tomatoes) and is one
of the biggest amongst the national and European canning
industries.
The average annual turnover for the last two years
was of 45 billion lire. Its authorised capital is
of 4,2 billion lire.
The personnel employed are 45 permanent workers and
approximately 650 seasonal workers.
The present product transformation
is of 150.000 tons of tomatoes (with a daily
capacity of 4.000 tons) and 2.000 tons of peas.
The tomato product
derived is concentrate
(80%), pulp, purée
and diced (15%) and
plum peeled (5%).
